“At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent.” (Dan 6:4)
Wow. If people were out to destroy us and had almost unlimited resources, could they find anything negligent about us? That is a very high standard. Daniel had been entrusted with enormous power and authority, yet no guile was found in him. His detractors could find no fault.
If we walk in a trustworthy manner, God will exalt us at work because He can trust us. The things that so easily ensnare and tempt us, when given no heed, become weak and loosen their hold.
When we walk in integrity, God is given opportunity to bless us because we are able to contain and channel greater blessing and influence without risking a large fall and disgrace.
Quick Prayer: Lord, empower me to always be trustworthy. Amen.
