The debt trap.

“The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.” (Proverbs 22:7)

In a world driven by cheap credit, despite some changes over the “credit crisis”, there is a temptation to not understand the power position. If you borrow you are subject to the lender. Whilst we all need some leverage and borrowings to trade effectively don’t mistake that for anything else.

You borrow you will have to pay. Get that equation wrong and you will be in trouble.
Where possible we need to be the head and not the tail. Be careful of debt even when assocoated with an appreciating asset. Treat it as an undesirabe option and it could well free you from some significant trouble.

Quick Prayer. “Help me get out of any bad debt please Lord.” Amen

A Change of Heart.

“In the LORD’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him.” (Proverbs 21:1)

God has the power to change a man’s heart. He has the influence to give you favour amongst men and a willingness to open doors for his children. As his follower you have a right to ask for his influence and favour. He may say no or he may open a door that seems stuck fast.

So why not ask and see him empower you and your business as you seek to serve him.

The right favor and the right time can bring breakthrough change. Sometimes we look at an option and say, “that would never happen”. But God is the God of the breakthrough, quite capable of moving a mans heart and giving you favor. Ask Him, you may be suprised at the outcome.

Quick Prayer. “Lord would you incline the heart of those in authority toward me please.” Amen

Praise you Lord

“Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours.” (1 Chronicles 29:11) 

Take a moment to ponder the infinite splendor of our great creator, maker of the universe, master of the infinite detail in all around us. His glory is indeed revealed in the sunrise, the sky the sea and the beautiful order of nature. Take a moment to wait in awe of your Creator, who knew you, and loved you, even before you were knit together in your mothers womb.

Is any problem you are facing too great? Nothing is impossible for God, and He is for you, not against you.
