Stirred Up

“So the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of the whole remnant of the people. They came and began to work on the house of the Lord Almighty, their God.” (Hag 1:14)

What is stirring up within you? Is there a passion or a desire to do something extraordinary? Maybe God is talking with you. Maybe He is stirring you up.

God can talk to us in many ways; one of those is to place passions, desires, and dreams into our hearts. We would do well to consider what we have strong emotions for; maybe it is the stirring that will propel you to something significant.

When He stirs you up, He may well be stirring up others around you. If you find people coming into your life with a similar passion, then get together and pray with them. It could well be that God is stirring the pot.

Quick Prayer: Stir me up to good things, Holy Spirit. Amen.

God’s Workmanship

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Eph 2:10)

What on earth are You doing, God? These words are all to frequent in my prayers and I am sure in yours as well. Often we do not see the purpose, reason, or plan God is enacting in our lives. Sometimes, even often, we will just not understand why things are happening. We just have to trust that God knows what He is doing.

Have you given your life to Him? Then He is at liberty to do whatever He wants. We are His workmanship and His handiwork, designed by Him for His purposes. The outcome as we surrender to His will in faith is good works and not just manmade good ideas.

God made good works prepared by Him before we were even created.

Quick Prayer: Thank You that I am Your workmanship. Amen.
