“For whoever has will be given more, and they will have abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.” (Matthew 25:29)

Ouch, this is quite a warning. We all have been given a set of gifts, talents, personality, an allocation of time and resources. The question is how have we taken what we have been given and applied it to being effective in the Kingdom of God? Have we reaped a return from what we have been given?

These are big questions. Do we have adequate answers? It is worth taking some time to take what we have been given before God, and to ask Him for His wisdom in applying what we have, to seeing His Kingdom established.

Quick Prayer. “Help me to be faithful with what you have entrusted to me Lord.” Amen

“Tell all the skilled workers to whom I have given wisdom in such matters that they are to make garments for Aaron, for his consecration, so he may serve me as priest.” (Exo 28:3)

We have all been built for a purpose. Part of that is our unique set of skills, temperament, and physical attributes. The skills need to be grown, nurtured, and developed, but their origin is a gift from God.

Those skills are for an outcome and a specific purpose. He has handcrafted you for a mission. Most of us will see that in a so-called secular job. He has equipped us to be effective in what He has called us to do. Your job is a specific calling from your Creator to use the skill set He built you with. You can serve Him as you serve others and as your skill set is used productively in the commercial sector.

Offering our skills to God and acknowledging they come from Him takes us to another level where His anointing can sharpen, hone, and enlarge our skills to make us even more effective in His hands.

Quick Prayer: Bless the skills You have given me to fulfill my purpose in You. Amen.
