Do I Communicate Our Vision Well?

Do I Communicate Our Vision Well?

“And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly].” (Hab 2:2 AMP)

Here are some great aspects to how our vision should be presented:

Written: If it is in your head, no one can see it.

Plain: Keep it very simple so that it is memorable.

Everyone: Make it available to all.

Passes: Keep it accessible and in plain view.

Read: Did I already mention written?

Easily: You don’t need big words to be credible.

Quickly: Short is good.

How clear is your vision statement, company idea or purpose, or whatever you choose to call it?

Test it against the mandate above. There is a lot of Godly wisdom in a plain, simple, easily read, available, clear vision.

God gave us one: “Go into all the world and make disciples of all men.”

Quick Prayer: Lord, please give me clarity and the ability to articulate it effectively. Amen.

Do You Have 20/20 Vision?

Do You Have 20/20 Vision?

“Then the Lord answered me and said, ‘Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run.’” (Hab 2:2 NASB)

A key part of leadership is demonstrating and constantly communicating vision—not vision as in foresight but vision as in a clearly articulated picture of the desired future.

Without a clear vision, your team will be disparate, pulling in many directions. With a clear vision, unity will prevail. Effort will be concentrated on a desired future state.

All levels of your business can benefit from understanding where you want to go. True leadership releases people with empowerment, but without a clear vision, that is not possible. Unless we all know where we are going, we can’t do our part to get there.

Jesus gave a clear vision statement just before He left: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mar 16:15). That is what it is all about. Jesus then empowered us with that mandate and resourced us with the ultimate helper, the Holy Spirit. Surely we should emulate this model in our businesses.

Quick Prayer: Lord, give me Your vision for my business, and help me to communicate it clearly. Amen.
