“The house of the righteous contains great treasure, but the income of the wicked brings ruin.” (Pro 15:6)

I can’t say the word treasure without thinking of pirates. The paradox of that is that pirates are the antithesis of the righteous.

I am sure that the context of this treasure is blessing in its complete form. Peace, joy, provision, great relationships, health, and an open heaven—these are the things I would regard as treasure.

There is of course the obvious financial definition of treasure, and God is in the business of blessing us. Notice that it is the income of the wicked that brings the ruin. Both receive financially, but only one has treasure.

Quick Prayer: Thank You for the great treasures that come from righteousness. Amen.
