Be Faithful

“The workers labored faithfully.” (2 Chr 34:12)

If someone were to take a poll on you and ask about your attributes would faithfulness make it to the top? I doubt it would even make my list, yet it is something we should value highly.

Faithfulness is best described as adhering firmly and devotedly to someone or something that elicits or demands one’s fidelity. The workers in this Scripture applied themselves to the task at hand with diligence and excellence.

We are called to a way that should compel us to integrity, devotion, excellence, and faithfulness. Fortunately, we serve one who is keen to see us produce such fruit and will ensure we do.

Quick Prayer: There is something wonderful in faithfulness—such an honorable trait. Keep me faithful, Lord. Amen.

God Is Listening

“Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty.” (Jam 5:4)

God hears the voices of those you have authority over. What would they say about you and how you treat them? God is impartial, and He understands the circumstances, but the question remains.

What do you have in your power to give that you are not giving? There are responsibilities beyond fair pay and conditions. Do you really want to just meet the minimum requirements, or will you go the extra mile for those God has placed at your side?

Quick Prayer: Thank You that You hear the voices of those who work for me. Amen.
