“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” (2 Chr 15:7)
Hope delayed makes the heart sick. I know what it is like to be waiting and waiting and trying to do the right thing and seeing no result; nothing, just a seemingly empty void with no answer from God. In these times, we begin to question so many things.
But wait—stop and wait. Be strong, and do not give up! So many have fallen at the last hurdle just before the dawn, to combine and mangle a couple of metaphors.
Again, be strong and do not give up; your work will be rewarded. Your reward is coming. Hear it again: your work will be rewarded. God sees what you are doing, He has not abandoned you and is faithful in fulfilling His promises.
Quick Prayer: Thank You that my reward is coming. Amen.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Jos 1:9)
Have a crack! Give it a go! Just do it! Don’t hold back! If you have been sitting on that great idea, stop hatching it out and go and put it into practice. A very successful businessman once told me that the only difference between him and a lot of other less successful people was that he “had a crack.”
Everyone has good ideas or says the all too familiar, “Someone should…” The difference between most of us and the successful few is that the few put it onto practice, take the risk, jump out, and start something.
We are the strong and courageous ones with God on our side, and He will be with us wherever we go. So today just be strong and courageous.
Quick Prayer: I can do all things, for You are with me. Amen.
