Influence

“So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of the Kandake (which means “queen of the Ethiopians”). This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship.” (Act 8:27)

Phillip was told to go and wait on a specific road. Had he not been listening to God, he would not have been there. God placed him there for a specific purpose. He then had the courage to abandon protocol and talk to an important person about Jesus. Philip would explain to a seeker what the Bible meant and who Jesus was.

The influence Phillip had over the Ethiopian eunuch not only led to the salvation of an important man, but it also led to the birth of a Christian nation in Africa. A whole country and then millions on a new continent were influenced by one man being obedient to the prompting of God.

Quick Prayer: Give me an opportunity to be an influence for You. Amen.
