Instructions for the Instructed.

“Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.” (Gal 6:6)

Whether we are at work or just life in general, there are always those around us that we glean wisdom from. They are usually older and have some good and bad life experience under their belts, although you can definitely learn from those younger as well. Regardless of the source of wisdom, we have a mandate to honor those who input into our lives.

If we receive instruction, then we are wise. So often we think we have all the answers, yet there is often another perspective we haven’t seen. Honor mentors by listening and by sharing what is happening in your life. Those who are willing to provide wisdom usually have a good ear and an understanding heart.

Quick Prayer: Lord, thank You for the mentors in my life. Remind me to say thanks and share what You are doing with me. Amen.
