“Surely there is a future and your hope will not be cut off”. (Proverbs 23:18)
Sometimes, life is tough. Often very tough. But we serve a God who is a redeemer.
Regardless of what you face today, there is hope in God. Even self inflicted trouble can be redeemed by Him. King David the adulterer and murderer, who took another man’s wife and had her husband killed, was forgiven and his situation redeemed. The fruit of this relationship was Solomon, the greatest and wisest of all. God created a future and hope; and was David’s salvation.
There is a future and God loves you, cares about you, died for you.
He still has a plan and purpose for your life, regardless of your circumstances.
Quick Prayer. “Thank you for hope, you are my salvation.” Amen
“Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.” (1 Timothy 6:17)
You are not rich are you? Compared with whom? Have you seen Africa? We are all in the top few in the world, where many starve and barely live. We are rich. So this scripture applies to us. Let us not be arrogant. Let us not put our hope in wealth. Yes, we are wealthy. It is so easy to trust in a pay packet a good business, an investment, maybe not the stock market. We trust in our savings, houses and superannuation. These are all good things, very good things, yet our attitude should recognize that they are uncertain, temporal and a mere vapor, compared to an enduring faithful God. It is in Him that we place our trust and hope. Then we will be able to enjoy that which he has so richly blessed us with.
Quick Prayer. “My hope is in you Lord, not in what I have.” Amen
