How do we align our thoughts to God’s will?

“Roll your works upon the Lord, commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and so shall your plans be established and succeed.” (Proverbs 16:3)

If only my thoughts were aligned to God’s will. Take a look at this scripture. If we cast our works onto Him, commit and trust them to Him, He will make us think along the lines of His will. Why? So that your plans will work, and you will have success!

That is staggering in it’s significance. Trust Him and He will turn our hearts to His will. We know that if we are in His will, He will guide us and lead us. How comforting to know that as we commit our works to Him, He will turn us to not only hear from Him, but our very thoughts become His thoughts. Truly the mind of Christ.

Quick Prayer. “I commit my business to you, please align my thoughts to your will that my plans may succeed.” Amen

Acceptable and Approved.

“For he who serves God in these things is acceptable to men and approved by God.” (Romans 14:18)

Doing things God’s way doesn’t necessarily put us at odds with those around us. Sometimes we assume that we will be less successful if we act in obedience to Scripture. True sometimes but certainly not always.

I would take having favour with God over favour with man, but God says you can achieve both. Just make sure you get your priorities right. One is the cause; the other the effect. When we get our priorities right and allow God to take care of the consequences, He will work out all things for our good.

His Scripture tells us that we can be acceptable to men and approved by God. What a powerful way to be effective in the marketplace!

Quick Prayer. “Help me to be approved by you.” Amen
