“Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.” (1 Corinthians 4:2)
We have been entrusted with a lot. We have the words of eternal life; an experience of a loving heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit indwells us. We have been given talents, gifts and abilities to serve, worship and lead at work.
We have been blessed with resources, wealth, time, family, fellowship, and friends and so much else. What will we do with all that we have been entrusted with? Let’s be found faithful and proven to be so.
This means an application of purpose thought and prayer as well as the practical actions that have to be taken in order to be faithful It is not an intent it is a series of actions that demonstrate an internal condition.
Quick Prayer. “Keep me faithful Jesus.” Amen
“to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.” (Psalm 33:19)
He is faithful. He is faithful. He is faithful. I say it again He is faithful. He will not let you suffer, and He will deliver you from harm. We need to sometimes stand on the promises of God and declare the victory He has already one.
These promises are yes and Amen, regardless of the circumstances, the times we live in, the environment, the economy, or the political status. He is our deliverer and our salvation, our ever-present help in a time of need. Speak to those circumstances that seem to overwhelm you and command them to submit to the word of God.
His strength will sustain you and His promises are always true.
Quick Prayer. “Keep me faithful in your strength, always.” Amen
“God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.” (Hebrews 6:10)
God has seen your faithfulness. He has seen all you have done and are doing. He will not forget your work. Your answer is coming. Daniel had to wait to see an answer that was dispatched the moment he prayed. We don’t understand how it all works or the mechanism of prayer, but we do know He is faithful.
He will watch over His Word to see that it is fulfilled. When we stand in agreement with His Word, we literally pull the promises from the spiritual into the physical. It is in our faith that the answers to prayer are born. This is what it means to have ‘Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven”.
It is because of Who He is that we can count on Him. He is the full manifestation of all it is to be faithful. We put our trust in His character; He is not a man that He should lie. Your answer is on its way!
Quick Prayer. “Thank you for your faithfulness, and that you honour your word.” Amen
“Like a snow-cooled drink at harvest time is a trustworthy messenger to the one who sends him; he refreshes the spirit of his master.” (Pro 25:13)
A cold, crisp, refreshing drink after a hard day’s labor is one of life’s simple and rewarding pleasures. In this Scripture, that feeling of being refreshed and satisfied is compared to a faithful person who serves us at work.
We all know how great it is to find someone who is motivated and capable who can get on with a job and do excellent work. It is refreshing to see and experience excellence in a task assigned to someone.
Likewise, we should refresh those who have entrusted a task to us. If we operate with excellence and integrity, we will be a blessing to those in authority over us. We are also more likely to be blessed if we are a refreshing blessing.
Quick Prayer: Let me refresh those around me. Amen.
