Need a Straight Path?

Need a Straight Path?

“In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Pro 3:6)

What a great promise—a straight path, true, accurate, full of purpose and direction, with a sense of accomplishment. The required condition is surrender. Giving it all to God is a constant state, not a onetime event. We often see submission in a negative context, but here we learn that its outcome is positive and beneficial.

This is particularly true in business, where we are making decisions constantly and busy in a rapidly changing environment. Pause, take a moment, and submit your situation to God. You will be surprised by how straight that path can be.

Quick Prayer: I submit all I am doing to You, Lord. Amen.

Need Direction?

“She gives no thought to the way of life; her paths wander aimlessly, but she does not know it.” (Proverbs 5:6)

Where are you going? What are you trying to achieve? What is the future state of your company that you are aiming to get to? We all need direction in order to focus, to allocate resources, and to create vision and momentum. If we don’t know where we are going, how will we know when we get there?

Don’t be aimless and wander. Ask God for clarity of direction. He has a plan and purpose for your life. Part of our destiny is orchestrated and for part we need to partner with God, hear from Him, and impact our circumstances with faith prayer and action.

How can we be obedient if we do not hear, and how can we hear if we do not listen?

Quick Prayer. “Show me your way Lord, that I may walk in it.” Amen

Way to Go

“This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: ‘I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.’” (Isa 48:17)

Do you ever have a dilemma at work, or in your life? We all do. There are often times when we have choices to make and a number of ways we can go. How often do we consider God’s desire for us as we ponder which way to go?

Choosing between a cheese sandwich and a cucumber sandwich may not need an angelic visitation to determine, but a lot of other questions may. Offering a circumstance to God invites clarity and wisdom and His intervention if required.

We have been given a brain and are expected to weigh our options with a certain amount of independence, but many times we would be wise to check with God. Certainly any significant decision should be made in consultation with Him to Whom we have given our lives.

Quick Prayer: Which way should I go, Jesus? Amen.
