Order

“But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.” (1 Cor 14:40)

I quite like a bit of chaos—the thrill of chasing down a deadline and the adrenalin of everyone pulling out all stops to achieve a goal. It is probably not a positive trait, but it is partly how I am wired. If everything is too orderly, I feel uncomfortable.

However, I am not saying chaos is a good thing. We should have an orderly approach because this is a much more effective way of working. All things in order and in their correct place, while a little sterile, is definitely a better way to go.

There is a way that is fitting. This speaks to me of the correct way to do a particular task—one that is the best fit for the objective. In order to achieve that, we need to think about our approach and be a little less reactionary. I think that may be a Godly approach to business.

Quick Prayer: Help me bring some Spirit-led order to my business. Amen.
