Ask any of your staff; What is the most important thing this company is doing? What are we all about? Why are we here? Chances are you will get a diversity of opinion.
If you run a culture of empowerment, and good companies do, then you are going to need a very clear vision. Just when you get tired of saying the same thing over and over, your company will be beginning to take it on board.
A simple statement of intent, a clear vision, a defining mandate. It doesn’t matter what you call it or even how you communicate it, but make sure you give everyone a clear direction. Let them know why they are together. Get it right and communicate it constantly and you will have a great company, focussed, empowered and moving to a great future state.
